This is officially my first real post of 2012 on my new blog and what better way to set the standard by to visit a brain of a phenomenon. He is a risk taker, a comfort shatterer, oozes sex appeal, instills ravelled emotions… An extremest!!!!! He infuses the need to prolong and avoid your blinks so you can appreciate his beauty and art by a unique multicultural Latin/Chinese ethnic look….
Brian Nieh a model from New York whose work is dimensional in the simplest form of intricacy. We could start a debate to try determine what reaction he’s trying to evoke with his work but we’d be blinded at the fact that his state of mind is beyond what the human brain can capacitate… I asked him a few brief questions focused on the controversial nudism in form of art vs pornography… Meet the intelligent, creative, sexy, legendary Brian Nieh…
I realised that your work falls into different aspects of art, such as fashion, fashion nudism, body art etc.. What does it mean for you to denude yourself in public? Because the society (non-creatives) take such photography as pornography. So what is your view on this?
The biggest people we know today like Michael Jackson, Madonna etc took risks, set their own bar and did what came naturally to them. I love the human body. I believe sex is one of the few elements that demands a presence….why not celebrate it…why not incorporate it in what you do too? SO..I take my clothes off…and show these kids how it’s done :)
Mentioning sex… Is some of your work in anyway related to pornography?
In my opinion no. I think I push sex appeal…but I mean I still have boundaries. In all my pics there are limits believe it or not….if I wanted to do pornography…there are a ton of more crazier/sexual things I can do in front of the camera.
So do you direct your shoots? Because I doubt anyone can get that creative with a team beyond 10, such creativity usually doesn’t have as many hands.
I’m the creative mind behind 80% of my shoots. In time I would like to be a creative director…conduct other shoots and maybe be behind the scenes in some shoots.
Would you like non-creatives and fashionista’s to know anything about Brian Nieh, just to wrap it up?
